Characteristics of Exchange Program

Our university's Exchange Program is "custom-made." Curriculums can be designed in a flexible manner, in accordance with individual students, objectives, interests and Japanese-language skills.

Various special courses on "Japanese language" and "Japan" are provided for exchange students. Individual courses are divided into two levels according to students, Japanese-language skills. Lessons are conducted in small classes with careful consideration given to individual students.

Exchange students can freely design their own curriculums according to their personal interests by selecting courses on offer at our university in addition to the special courses for exchange students. (The availability of some courses depends on the student's Japanese-language skills.)

While studying in Japan, exchange students are given support by two advising instructors; one Japanese and one from the same linguistic area as the exchange student. Please feel free to consult them about whatever concerns you may have.
